ABOUT ME

Ariel022022.jpg

Art is not just about make things looks pretty, it is more about telling stories and sharing emotions. This is my definition of art, also the goal for my works.

Story telling is powerful. It can help you help people understand you, help you connect to others, help you shape the world. I pay attention to stories ever since I was just a kid. I came from a diverse cultural background family. Stories help me get to know my family members and their cultures. When I studied sociology and psychology in collage, stories helped me learn more about human beings. I started telling stories after I worked for women’s right organization. Then I realized how useful and powerful story telling through images is nowadays. Therefore, I joined a training program for 3D generalist and started learning how to create images by myself.

Through the training program, I had chance to participate in few different projects in different roles, such as concept artist, storyboard artist, rigger, lighter and compositor. I find myself really enjoying playing with different colors and lights as a lighter. How fascinating it is that you can affect others feelings by just changing the color. I feel that I’ve found a perfect way for me to tell stories and share emotions. That’s why I moved to San Francisco and joined Academy of Art University to improve my skills, to become a look dev and lighting artist that shares stories with the world with meaningful colors, and make the world a better place, or just simply make somebody’s day :).
